Scope

Work to protect the railway from hydrogeological instability, from km.55+232 to km.55+597 in the section of Camporgiano-Piazza al Serchio on the line Lucca-Aulla. Restoration of flood control measures for the scour of the Serchio river at the base of the slope, 1st phase, 2nd and 3rd phase.

The following interventions were carried out as part of the flood control measures at the foot of the embankment at Km 55+600 of the Lucca-Aulla railway line:

Construction of four weirs in the riverbed;
Structural intervention in the most damaged part corresponding to the section of wall built on diaphragms, consisting of a reinforced concrete wall anchored through two rows of tie rods;
Installation of a row of draining rods.
