Systems for the treatment and accumulation of rainwater pertaining to the current layout of the Firenze airport

Scope

Stormwater treatment and storage system and improvement of the air-side hydraulic systems of the Firenze airport grounds. – period 1 – phase 1 of the program of adaptation and improvement of the air-side hydraulic systems in the ground.

The project includes the installation of suitable systems for the treatment of the first rainwater running off the current runway and the aprons located east and west of it. In addition, a tank for the self-containment of rainwater is planned for the aprons named APRON 200 and 300, in order to comply with the discharge conditions laid down in the General Reclamation Plan.
The main underground tanks for the treatment of stormwater installed are the following:

APRON 200 and 300 Yard compensation tank, dimensions 54.82 x 34.50 m for a total volume of 3966 cubic meters;
APRON 100 apron treatment tank, total volume 241 cubic meters;
Runway treatment basins: basin east of the runway – total volume 657 cubic meters, basin west of the runway – total volume 447 cubic meters.
